According to statistics, almost half of the people on Earth hear such voices (at least once in a lifetime, yes it was), a quarter of the world’s population – constantly. And if before people were afraid to talk about it, today many talk about “mysterious interlocutors” with priests, to journalists, doctors (least of all), or just looking for empathy, understanding in social networks.
Today, such people even open special sites where they can share their fears, doubts, ask questions and get support. And the owners of the “mysterious voices” going to annual (the last one was held in Thessaloniki in end of last year) international festivals in which are divided with their impressions and best practices, how they manage to coexist with the presence in their head of another world.
Most often, scientists say, such extraneous voices appear in a person’s head after an injury or some kind of severe shock. But not necessarily, for example, Rachel Weddingham (participant of the festival in Thessaloniki) began to hear their mysterious interlocutors without any visible reason. In the end, she ended up in a mental hospital. But medicines did not save her from the “mysterious interlocutors”, over time there are even more of them, among them today there are even children.
In the history of mankind, many famous personalities have heard such voices, most often they helped them become great or geniuses. The most characteristic example in this regard is Joan of Arc paid for fellowship with the saints by burning at the stake. In our the time of such people is no longer burned at the stake, but simply isolated from societies in psychiatric hospitals.
And those who do not really bother with such voices (or even help), live as if nothing had happened. And few people are told about it…
