Garnett House is a historic former hotel, located in the American city of Garnett, Kansas. The house was built in 1858 by David Houston and opened as Hiram Tefft hotels in the fall of that year. This building became the first hotel in the city, and over time it acquired a few tweaks. They say that the owner refused to live in the original part of the building, since the walls constantly ranged from the wind.

The hotel became known among locals and visitors as Garnett’s House, or Hotel Lighthouse. The second, quite romantic, the name is due to the fact that on the top floor but at night they burned brightly windows, and this light was visible for miles around. Garnett House – the only city building that has survived to our days since preceding the American Civil War. Over 160 years of history, it seen many events, and not all of them were joyful.
So, in 1859, the famous abolitionist John Brown hid on the attic of the hotel freed slaves. In the 1870s garnett turned into a crossroads of busy roads where constantly Cowboys, gold miners, Indians, criminals, and immigrants. The city literally became one big stereotypical scene from the Wild West with saloons, brothels and street shootings. Many people lost their lives here, and the killings also did not go away. Garnett House. Maybe that’s why it’s believed that there are ghosts and all the devilry who do not intend to leave these walls, while there is a roof over them.

In the “Garnett House” repeatedly recorded supernatural phenomena, and one of these events happened recently, 19 February. Ghostbusters installed at night in the building video cameras and captures the sounds below movements in an empty Garnett House, as well as a mystical phenomenon like the door opens spontaneously. Paranormal Researchers believe that the lens of the recording device poltergeist activity, which is the restless spirit of one of former hotel guests.
