According to legend, in the fifties of the last century, the local resident Julian Barrera suddenly left his family and for incomprehensible reasons he moved to live as a hermit on a tiny island that then there was little known to anyone. Those who knew about the island tried bypass it, since it was believed that ghosts live there children drowned in the canals. It was said that many of the children were killed by force.
One night, Julian saw in the window of his hut a small a girl who silently moved her lips as if she wanted something to tell. The Mexican went outside, but the child and the trace caught a cold. But on the ground, Barrera discovered a baby doll without a hand. The man took such an unusual gift and hung it on the nearest branch tree. Since then, the life of a Mexican has become even more mysterious and untidy to other people. Julian began to find with all his might old dolls and hang them around the island. He looked for them in landfills, asked for unnecessary broken toys from the inhabitants of the surrounding villages, exchanged dolls for fruits for children that he grew on his the island.

Surprisingly, the more dolls appeared on the island, the fewer ghosts of drowned children bothered the locals.
