The frightened life of Europeans is sometimes horrified by the most mundane things. In the United Kingdom alone, order is spent annually ten million pounds to leave the police on false and absolutely stupid challenges.
Many Britons prefer to call law enforcement when a big spider appears at their place, or when they dream of a terrible a dream about a monster under the bed, or when they hear it from the street strange sounds. But what to do – the police must leave whenever a kingdom thinks it could something wrong happens.
So, in Dartmouth in the south-west of England, a curious thing recently happened event with a certain touch of mysticism. Wednesday thirtieth September, a local resident named George Johnston called in police station, reporting that he noticed at one of the private houses on the outskirts of the city, a shadow in the form of a gallows. A twenty-four-year-old man thought that someone was really could hang, and, frightened, called the police.

Arriving on call, the police burst out laughing approaching the building and seeing that frightening shadow, really resembling a man suspended from a rope, fell on the wall from a lamppost with traffic signs standing next to home. So far, law enforcement officers drafted a protocol on the spot and took pictures (probably to show a ghostly shadow to others – at least she managed to get on the Internet), the gallows and the trace is cold – the sun has slightly changed its position, and the shadow lost its former form.
However, ridiculed by the cops is Johnston, who, like It turned out that he firmly believes in ghosts and paranormal phenomena, decided conduct your humble investigation. The young man visited local library and was surprised to find out that the same the intersection where the play of light and shadow revealed an ephemeral gallows, three centuries ago it was called in common people the Cross of the Dead. Once upon a time right on this place was the gallows on which they executed prisoners! Needless to say, this discovery plunged Englishman in shock. According to him, he was not in vain afraid of the mysterious shadows – undoubtedly, it was a phantom silhouette of one of the long hanged criminals here. And what the police found is not more than a joke of the subtle world over our stupid and nothing impenetrable logic.
