In 1908, in France, in the basement of the Grand Opera, a skeleton of a man with a mutilated skull and a female was discovered ring on the finger. Theater Garston Leroux found that, most likely, this skeleton belongs to the legendary Phantom of the Opera.

When workers found a skeleton in a broken basement wall, powdered brick, passionate theater and journalist Monsieur Gaston Leroux began to conduct his own investigation. Exploring the find, he was shocked by the contrast between the monstrous ugliness of the skull and the presence of an elegant female ring on the finger. He published the image of the ring in all the newspapers in the hope that someone will find out the relic will respond, but there were none.

In 1998, the famous Italian director Dario Argento made the “Phantom of the Opera” an erotic thriller. In his version The ghost is not freak at all and commands the rats.

In 2002, film director Joel Schumacher proposed to film musical film. Gaston Leroux unhappy Eric died in the dungeons Opera from love and longing, but in the film adaptation of the musical he was presented another fate. A mask was made especially for the musical, covering only part of Eric’s face.
