Having tasted a fair amount of alcohol, 50 animals were defeated locals’ homes looking for supplements. Dumurkot Village in India was attacked by elephants after the animals drank almost 500 liters of alcohol and went in search of the next portion. A herd of elephants went in search of food and came across the village tea and rice plantations. However, the animals were more attracted by the smell of local an alcoholic drink that was sold in a nearby shop. Interested in its aroma, animals destroyed food shop and emptied 18 barrels of strong drink. the effect turned out to be destructive: distraught giants went to the village in search of supplements. In an attempt to get their own alcohol, elephants destroyed at least 3 houses and destroyed crops. Police officers which were called to pacify the animals, reported that these elephants are only part of a large herd. – Their migration path passed in close proximity to people therefore especially hungry the animals smelled of alcohol. We returned them to the herd and hope that they will not suffer much from a hangover, – said spokeswoman for the local police.
