This is a very unusual story told by a resident Dnepropetrovsk, pensioner Anna Vasilievna Lyakhova.
During the war, her family, which, in addition to little Ani, consisted of from mother and sister, was evacuated from Ukraine and for some time lived in the Tyumen region. After the Victory, all three returned home; Anya was then eight years old.
Desolation
Once again in his native village Novoselovka, mother and daughters saw a terrible picture. All the huts were abandoned, courtyards and gardens overgrown with weeds. But what was to be done? People little by little began to settle down in the same place: they conquered the land from weeds, helped, as they could, to each other – in a word, learned to live anew …
One morning, Anina’s mom, getting up early, was swimming in the garden weeds. The girls were still sleeping. Suddenly, Anna heard a heart-rending scream mother and woke up in fright. Bursting into the house, a woman loudly screamed:
Wake up, wake up soon!
Hastily dressed, the sisters ran out into the street, but nothing they didn’t see anything terrible.
Mysterious child in the grass
Recovering a little, the mother told the girls what had happened. Thinking, she went into the thickest weeds and began to chop it chopper. Suddenly a woman very close by heard a baby crying and rushed to that side. A child crawled out to meet her.

He looked about two years old, tearful, disheveled, all dirty and incredibly snotty: it flowed green from the nose by the stream. He held out his hands to the woman, and at the same time in his throat something was hoarse. Frightened, the mother threw herself in the hut for moral help …
About ten times, the girls and their mother carefully searched the entire garden, but never found any child. In the end, the children decided that their mother just imagined something. Yes, and the woman herself already believed in it.
It was a sign that a treasure was in your hands
But then a neighbor ran up to the noise in their yard and, learning that happened, shook her head:
Oh, Tanya, what a bliss you have missed! It’s a treasure was! What treasure? – taken aback mother. Yes, the real one! He is up to you came stretched. You should take him in your arms or even sneakers wipe! .. And you ran away. Now this treasure is again in the ground gone.
Mother and daughters were very surprised, not knowing how to relate to the words the neighbors. But after some time they found out that the people such a belief: some people, hiding large treasures in the ground, they started talking, that is, they determined the day and hour when their treasures come out of the earth to be used. It is possible that a dirty, snotty child who suddenly appeared and without a trace then disappeared, and in fact promised Anina family wealth. Yes, it seems that the golden mountains were not destined for them …
