The most powerful 7.5 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale occurred on the Pacific coast of Alaska. Epicenter is known its located 90 km from Port Alexander at a depth of nine kilometers. According to the US Seismic Service it happened at 08:58 GMT. Initial message estimated the earthquake at 7.7 points, but subsequently rated at 7.5 points. The specific location of the epicenter makes possible formation of a seismic wave – tsunami. Right after earthquake warning of the possibility was published tsunami. However, it was soon canceled, as signs of his no education was found. In coastal towns Pacific coast nonetheless an emergency was held evacuation. There were no reports of casualties or destruction.
