And what was the surprise of the American journalist when in Crimea he saw the general glee of Crimeans about the long-awaited reunion with their original homeland – Russia. That Crimea is two and a half century already Russian (age of the USA), Miguel too recognized to his great and undisguised surprise. After all, in America The media claim that this is Ukrainian land, and its Russia is simply captured, trampling the interests of the peoples who inhabited the peninsula. A it turns out that Russians have been living here for 250 years, and Crimea was Ukraine only formally transferred in 1956 by decree of Nikita Khrushchev. The American journalist was not only pleasantly surprised, but also just fascinated by the beauty of Crimea, its historical monuments, yet more eloquently than the people themselves talking about Russian sources of this land. But all the more, as Miguel admitted, he liked people of Crimea, their openness, friendliness and hospitality.
