As you know, businessmen are usually engaged in philanthropy, actors, musicians, athletes and other famous people. Charity allows such individuals to kill two birds with one stone: help others and increase their credibility in the eyes of the public. Nevertheless, in the world there are many philanthropists who keep their identities secret by donating money needy anonymously or under pseudonyms.

In Salem, the administrative center of Oregon, a mysterious person appeared who chose a very original way of charity. Unknown American (or American) hiding in different places of the city hundred-dollar bills that subsequently find fellow countrymen of the benefactor. Philanthropist with filing Benny named President Benjamin Franklin, whose portrait is depicted on the obverse of the hundred-dollar banknotes.

Locals find money in mailboxes on monuments, on benches and even in prams. Thus the mysterious adherent of philanthropy has already given the townspeople at least fifty one thousand five hundred dollars. This, of course, is far from so much compared to, say, Bill Gates, who for the whole donated his life to charity about thirty billions, but the people of Salem highly value such support.

Philanthropist still not found

At first, an unknown person attached notes to notes in which asked people who found banknotes to use money to help to others. After the philanthropist was talked about in the news, he stopped supplying luggage with messages – everyone understood how purpose, he is engaged in such an unusual case. Of course, no one forbids taking these finds for himself, however, the townspeople are happy listen to Benny’s request and pass the banknotes to those who need them Total.

There are currently forty-seven American charities organizations received money anonymously left on the streets Salem. Among them were children’s shelters, free hospitals, schools, food banks, animal welfare services. Many residents cities spend the funds found to buy food, clothing and medicines for the homeless. Media staff even came up with the concept of “Benny factor,” meaning disinterested treasure hunt in order to pass them on to those in need.

It’s hard to say exactly what motivates an anonymous philanthropist do it – the desire to share so eccentric with others with your blood or secret pleasure to do good without receiving thanks. Benny’s identity still remains for all secret, however given the hope and generosity that he presented to compatriots, this is perhaps even for the best.
