The backstory of the mysterious “black sarcophagi” began in 1985 when the school teacher of the village of Shukonsky Arkhangelsk Vladimir Gerbel gave the task to students to make crafts from bark. None of this was remarkable, if not to say that Seryozha Radko brought a figurine from some petrified tree.
Lost people after finding the “black sarcophagi”
It turned out that he found on the shore of Dvinskaya Bay, in three kilometers from the village, a black deck two and a half meters length, from it and chopped off a piece of wood with a knife for his crafts. Vladimir Gerbel wanted to see that mysterious deck, but never going to do it. But Seryozha soon strangely disappeared and nobody has ever seen him again.
The next victims of the “black sarcophagi” were workers who cleaned the bed of the old Ladoga hydraulic system and found two similar black decks – two men after that disappeared. On the for ten years, such mysterious sarcophagi have not been found only in the Arkhangelsk, but also Murmansk, Vologda regions, Karelia, in the Komi Republic. And always these findings were accompanied by disappearances of people. However, until 1995, no one linked these two facts together.
On February 19 of that year, six men from the village of Divya set off on ice fishing and … disappeared. They were searched for a few days, but found only fishing gear and personal belongings, and it seemed that the men had drilled holes, installed fishing rods and … disappeared. And all around there is not a wormwood, not a single crack on Lyuda – mysticism and more! But seemed even more mystical the investigator who led the case, six “black sarcophagi”, who were found in the river in April, when the ice came down.
Match the number of these black boxes and the missing fishermen prompted the investigator to wonder if there were any similar cases elsewhere. Answers of the investigating authorities stunned: almost everyone who found these damned sarcophagi, then mysteriously disappeared.

But to understand what kind of connection is between these boxes, which, like determined the analysis, it was about 300 years old, failed. Theories of the origin of “black sarcophagi”
