The story of Slenderman
Slenderman (“Skinny Man” translated into Russian) is one of the most famous characters of the “scary” Internet folklore. Presumably it was coined in 2009 a certain Eric Knudsen who posted on the Something forum Awful “two black and white shots of a mysterious creature of children. The photos seemed to the regulars of the Internet very realistic and quickly riveted the attention of virtual the public.
The character is so fond of Web users that it’s fast turned into a hero of numerous stories, video games, series and movies.
