A group of American researchers led by a professor Rebecca Roach has proposed an alternative method of punishment for especially serious criminals. This futuristic method will allow dangerous criminal elements “serve” incredibly long periods of almost instantly and completely not aging. Experts believe that the brain a prisoner can be “tricked” into thinking that it’s past a very long time, although in reality only several hours.

Roach says that this effect can be achieved by two different ways. The first theoretical option is development a special chemical that affects human brain and a distorting sense of time (something similar is shown in fantastic action movie “Judge Dredd”). The second option is to connect man to the computer in order to accelerate the work of his brain. The Americans calculated that if you speed up the work of the human brain a trillion times, the “mental” serving of a thousand-year sentence in prison it actually only takes eight and a half hours. True, whether it will be safe for the brain is not yet reported.

Advocates of data from pre-existing technologies believe that such methods of punishment will significantly save money taxpayers. In addition, they will become much more effective. and to some extent humane compared to a regular prison conclusion. Yes, “lie” in a bed for a thousand years can become real mental torment, however, a person who has undergone he probably will not wish to cross the line of the law anymore.

“Is it right to lock a man, no matter how bad he is, for years in the cage, taking away most of his only life? Much more humane would be to transform his consciousness and immediately release from prison. The perfect punishment should be aimed primarily at re-education and release already a renewed, all-conscious person, but not yet lost his physical strength, “Roach claims.
