A well-known video appeared on the famous YouTube video hosting site, on which two white-tailed deer fight quite unusual way.
Reindeer animals are known to love “sort things out,” but for this they tend to butt horns. The same artiodactyls somehow decided to fight like a hare. The rarest movie immediately became a hit on the World Wide Web.
The authors of the recording are employees of the Environmental Protection Agency. state of Tennessee, who installed an automatic security camera in the forest. US officials say they never saw anything similar. Two white-tailed deer males stood on their hind legs and began to beat each other with their front hooves. When one of the “fighters” retreated, the other followed the retreating enemy right on its hind legs. Experts suggest that the cause of the fight animals could be a small portion of food that would not be enough for two.
White-tailed deer, also called virginian, is widely common in North America and is found from southern Canada to northern Brazil. In the United States, a population of this species estimated at approximately 15 million individuals. In the cold season males drop their horns, and new ones grow only in the end spring. Therefore, it would perhaps not be so surprising if these animals fought in a hare in the winter. However, why do they do it in the summer – a real mystery.
