A resident of African Guinea fell victim to a very rare a disorder for which classmates nicknamed him: Claws and Hands of the Devil. As a result of a rare birth defect, both hands the boys were lifted up all the time.
Doctors failed to establish what caused this anomalies, but recently Mamadou was able to give up for the first time in his life. The boy was helped by the international charity Mercy Ships, whose employees raised funds for the necessary operations.

Thanks to the skillful work of the surgeons, the boy’s old dream has come true, which suffered a lot of suffering. At fifteen, Mamadou went to the Guinean capital to collect alms. He lived on the street; representatives of Mercy Ships found there, initiating arrival of surgeons.
After surgery, Mamadou completely recovered the functionality of the left hand, and the right hand dropped significantly.
