At dawn on May 4, 1882, a sailor from a Brazilian who served the watchman noticed a bottle swaying on the waves in the sea. At that the time for bottles found in the sea was treated with much greater Regards, than today. But strange circumstances surfaced: the captain and the first the assistant turned out to be alive and none of those released admitted to authorship of a message of help.
The incomprehensible captain ordered the released also lock up until the circumstances of the case are clarified.
Everything was clarified in England, in court.
16 years before the events described, someone John Parmington published a novel called “Sea Hero”. Publications of the novel was preceded by a noisy advertising company, during which at sea 5 thousand bottles were thrown out asking for help (part of the plot novel). Some of the bottles were caught, and several hundred continued roam the seas. One of these bottles was caught by the Brazilian watchman!
The deserted writer could not have imagined that he would become a prophet. what it was a sudden illumination, a vision of the future, or the rarest a coincidence, to say it is tricky. It remains only to attribute this event in the category of inexplicable, and repeat after the hero Shakespeare: “There is much in the world, a friend of Horatio, which is not dreamed of to our sages. ”
