The Almedia family from Brazil has discovered its missing in 1982 favorite named Manuela in the box, disassembling old things in the pantry. Residents of the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro were not a little amazed when they accidentally discovered their turtle in the house nickname Manuela, lost 30 years ago. Almedia family reunited with her darling after she finally decided to disassemble the old pantry, in which they stacked for many years many unnecessary things. – We have not seen Manuel since 1982, then we had a repair in our house, and we thought that the turtle escaped when the workers left the front door open. Despite the long searches, we did not find a single trace of it, – the owners admitted animal. – Dad always thought he could fix it one day or restore all this stuff with which he stuffed a closet. We never it was not allowed to go there, and the door was closed, – they told son and daughter of the owner of the house Leandro and Lenita. Only after death his parents are already adult children began to get rid of unnecessary “ballast”. – I took out a box with a broken musical players to give it to the junk when one of them asked me: “You are not going to throw out also a turtle?”, – said Leandro Almedia. Overjoyed relatives with surprise recognized in the animal their pet, which was in good health, despite such a long absence. – None of us could understand how a turtle could live alone indoors in for 30 years! We simply could not believe what happened! we happy that she returned to us, – assured the brother and sister Almedia. The vet who examined the former pantry captive said that Manuela is a species of red-footed turtles, which can go without food for a long time. According to specialist, the animal survived due to the fact that it was fed woody termites.
