Relatively recently, German materials were discovered submarine Heinz Schaffer, which contains notes with a description Antarctic military base. The publication “The Trendymen” reports.
Schaffer served as captain in the U-977 submarine Hitler’s convoy. According to these materials, the man personally landed on the mainland.
The submarine served by the submarine was the last of defeated during World War II. While the submarine carried out a secret mission, the objectives of which before still nothing is known. In his materials the captain of the submarine spoke about meetings off the coast of Antarctica.
In 1945, according to the order of Dennitz, his submarine was supposed to meet another ship off the coast of the Antarctic continent. Schaffer decided not to carry out the order. However, according to researchers, the mission of U-977 was still fully completed, after which on August 17, 1945 the team the submarine surrendered.
There is a version that the submarine provided delivery to Antarctica especially important documents and most of the treasury of the Third Reich. There the rest of the Nazi ships replenished their supplies.
Researchers noted an interesting fact that on a submarine, by its coming to Argentina, no South American map was found mainland. This may indicate that the submarine has reached coast of South America, departing from Antarctica, not Germany. Therefore, the fact that the Nazi base exists cannot be ruled out and, who knows, maybe it’s still functioning.
