Interesting fact in itself, it’s no coincidence for such things collectors pay millions, or even tens of millions of dollars. But in this story there is another interesting point about which we and tell you.

Parsing the archives of Scottish University of St Andrews (see the building in the main photo), his employees, to his surprisingly discovered the publication of the famous Periodic Table chemical elements of Dmitry Mendeleev, dated 1885. Presumably, she accidentally fell into a roll of posters after moving here in 1968, Department of Chemistry, but for certain today no one can say anything about this, nor about why they didn’t grab it and, it seems, didn’t even look for it, although such a rarity the second half of the last century was of considerable value.

The found table was in a deplorable state and literally crumbled in the hands. But there are scientists, especially chemists who restored it, and a copy was placed in a special storage, where it everyone can see it.

This is what excited the public, as many people know that in all modern chemistry textbooks there is a distorted periodic table, as in genuine present the fundamental element of everything in the universe is ether (see about this video below). According to independent scholars, in the last times genuine periodic table of chemical elements published in 1906 in the textbook “Fundamentals of Chemistry” (St. Petersburg, VIII edition).

Why are the Scots not afraid to put on public display one of the first publications of the famous Table? After all, even mention this is not safe for an academic scientist today, since this could adversely affect his scientific career. And the thing is what about the table with the zero group, in which Mendeleev first element included ether (Newtonian), the great scientist came much later (the table was created in 1869, and its Dmitry Ivanovich developed the perfect version after 1902 of the year).

So when someone says today in textbooks chemistry published a fake, this is not entirely true. Is published almost the first version of the table of a brilliant scientist (and zero the group without Newtonia moved to the end), which turned out to be more safe for the powerful because the discovery of ether completely crossed out the idea of the structure of the universe and threatened with the loss of power to the world magnates. Exactly the same happened with discoveries in the energy field of Nikola Tesla and unrecognized (laid under the cloth or generally hastily destroyed) inventions of other geniuses, about which we do not even have heard.

So the staff of St. Andrews University was afraid nothing: they though found the old Table, but just that edition of it, which after 1902 was already obsolete and for no one was of interest and danger.
