Spike Aerospace Supersonic Jet Aircraft S-512 was first introduced to the public in 2013, but quite its developers recently made a number of changes to the design of the S-512, significantly increasing its security for the wealthy travelers. After the update, the plane became even faster than earlier.
The developers of supersonic aircraft have achieved maximum speeds of 2.205 km / h, which is 1.8 times the speed of sound. For comparisons, the fastest Boeing 747 can reach its maximum speeds of 1,126 km / h.
Such lightning fast speed will allow passengers to get from New York to London in three hours, or head to Dubai from Paris to go shopping and catch home for dinner. So fast travel made possible by a new design triangular wings. With their help, the S-512 reaches its maximum aerodynamic efficiency. New wing shape as well tail modification helps reduce drag air.
However, speed is not the only component of the success of the S-512. The interior is reminiscent of a bizarre sci-fi cinema – large panoramic windows, good location comfortable chairs – all this will not leave indifferent even himself fastidious customer. In the future, the company plans to install in salon real tables.
Of course, such a luxury will cost a pretty penny. Cost supersonic aircraft designed as an aircraft business class will vary between 60 – 80 million dollars. However, despite such a high price tag, supersonic travel is the future of aviation.
