The fact that little people periodically appear in our world – gnomes, elves, miniature fairies, has long been not only a topic for folklorists, but also a subject of scrutiny researchers paranormal phenomena.
It has recently become known that the British folklorist and historian Simon Young, who began a serious investigation of a unique incident that happened almost forty years ago in the famous Woolaton Park of the English city of Nottingham. Into one from the warm September evenings of distant 1979, six students primary school, playing in the park, unexpectedly ran into a whole “digging” of little men.
According to the descriptions of the children, these were men, only very small growth, like dolls, with long white beards and dressed in tall caps, blue camisoles and yellow tights. These gnomes whom children counted about sixty pieces, moved in the same small, like toys, cars with transparent tops. Moreover, these cars in an amazing way could not only drive, but and jump over any obstacles, such as logs.
Happy from such a meeting, younger students from seven to ten years, among which were Andrew and Rosie Pierce, Angela and Glen Elliot, Julie (last name unknown) and Patrick Olive, spent at the company funny little men about fifteen minutes. Definitely guys hastened to tell adults about this amazing meeting, their the story was even recorded on a tape recorder by school principal Robert Eldridge. In addition, this fantastic event was widely publicized that fall. by the local press.
A unique encounter with the dwarves needs to be explored
Dr. Simon Young has now acquired that rare tape recording, and also tried to find all the witnesses this unusual story, in agreement with former students, and now by older Britons about the meeting in order to interview them. is he believes that that unique contact of children with gnomes should be thoroughly studied in order to turn it from a fairy tale into an irrefutable fact.

Cases where people have met dwarves, says the writer, elves and fairies, many, but usually adults are scared such anomalies, and only children perceive this world as he is, without any prejudice and attitudes, what can to be and what not. That’s why those little schoolchildren who fortunate enough to encounter the gnomes in Vulaton Park, and in so many, and even play with the little men, their children’s stories are of great interest to science. it a unique case for the whole world, at least for our modernity, because in earlier times, apparently, people even communicated with these mysterious underground inhabitants (there is such assumption), they were less afraid of them and wrote a lot and talked about them to each other. True, modern researchers and especially orthodox scientists all those descriptions and stories for some reason ranked as fairy tales. But in the modern world, everything that’s not amenable to rationalization, or ridiculed, or ranked among fairy tales, legends, fictional stories.
However, continues to Simon Young, these “fabulous” little men continue to appear in our world. True, information about these meetings, unfortunately, are quite rare and unforgivable for scientists are scarce. It seems to me that our narrow materialistic thinking, which, on the one hand, scares off inhabitants of the underworld, and on the other – plays a cruel joke with us: we we don’t believe our eyes and ears, and even when they fall into our hands even stronger evidence for the existence of gnomes, fairies and elves, just destroying these artifacts …
