What is the most expensive food available in free selling on our planet? Macadamia nut? Or famous white truffle? Or maybe the meat of vagu cows, which are watered by excellent beer and who are given daily massage? None of these options is incorrect.

In fact, the record holder among expensive food appeared on the global market just recently. Gold caviar made in Austria, has a price of as much as twenty thousand euros per one hundredth jar. The delicacy is made from delicate flakes of real gold, and also dried white caviar given by albino sturgeons. Product represents not small balls, as we are used to, but thin golden color powder. The novelty is already used for cooking risotto, oils, soups and sauces in the best European restaurants.

Golden caviar gives the dishes not only the original color, but also very spicy taste. Austrian farmer Walter Gruel being the author of the idea, argues that the spawning fish are bred in perfectly clean ponds, and edible gold is made through the most advanced techniques.

Gruel reports that gold added to food strengthens health and promotes enhanced immunity. True with that a statement can be argued because many scientists are convinced that metal made from ore will never be absorbed by the body. Besides of this, it has recently become known that wearing gold is bad for health, especially to men.
