December 8, 1997 naval officer disappeared in Kamchatka fleet. As it turned out later, he moved into the past. From this “travel” he was not destined to return.
Regular watch
On the Kamchatka Peninsula, military bases are like hair on the head – of all do not count. At one of the coastal bases of the Navy and this is an emergency.
In the winter morning, the captain of the third rank took the watch and entered duty on the brigade. During the day he accepted reports, gave orders, resolved issues and according to instructions periodically reported upstairs: no incident. Sometimes told an assistant “I’ll go, I’ll walk through”, put on a bandage “on duty” and went to survey with his watchful eye, is everything all right at the base entrusted to him.
In the morning a new outfit came to take the watch, and it turned out that no one to take it from. According to the assistant, the captain three left at night in the next round, since then has not returned and all service at night “pulled” the assistant.
Missing Officer
The new duty officer, not embarrassed by his subordinates, expressed everything that he thinks of the missing attendant. Calls flew home to the thrower shift officer, his fellow colleagues, ran to all ends of the base sailors indicating “to find the duty officer and not to return without him.” However, a cap-three sank into the water. When to pull further was already impossible, the officer intervening on the watch called the base commander and reported on the state of emergency: the attendant disappeared along with the service weapon.
The commander put the base on his ears. Ten search teams looked into every click, examined every hole in the territory bases and in its environs, and officers who led the search parties through the teeth cursing and everyone pondering what he would do with captain when he finds him.
It soon became clear that a cap-three did not come home, none of co-workers did not appear. The commander contacted representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the police took control of all civilian and military airports and airfields – in December the peninsula could only be left by plane. The officer was searched for a very long time, but was not found.
Terrible find
Two months later, in the mountainous region of Kamchatka, hunters found the remains of a person, or rather his bones. Since the bones were naval officer uniform, the find was reported where it should be. Arriving representatives of the military prosecutor’s office carefully examined find.
There were documents in my pockets, so the “owner” installed immediately. The last doubts disappeared when holstered at Belt found a gun with a number stamped on it. It was missing watch officer on duty.
Although the officer disappeared two months ago, soft tissue was missing. completely, the corpse rotted to the bones. Any mechanical there was no damage to the clothes and the remains themselves, so the version of “animal beasts gnawed” was swept away immediately.
Recall that the officer disappeared on December 8, and Kamchatka is not Medium Asia, winters are cold and the bodies of those killed in December-January persist until spring. But for the remains of the captain, for some reason this is not related.
Strange expert opinions
The remains were sent to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky for examination and soon an unexpected answer came from there: the remains belong to a man 30 years old, who died about 160 years ago. Naturally, no military neither the police officers were happy with this conclusion. Found there was a cap-three disappeared again, and the police received a puzzle: a corpse of a century and a half ago in an officer uniform and with a gun base disappeared on duty.
The remains were transported to the mainland for re-examination. IN the central hospital of the Ministry of Defense even held genetic examination, which confirmed that the skeleton belongs to the missing officer. And then Peter and Paul repeated nightmare: according to radiocarbon analysis, the age of the remains is about 160 years old.
Unlucky Captain III Rank
Scientists are interested in this unusual case, but nothing good they could not say. That year in Kamchatka there was a high geomagnetic activity, earthquakes occurred almost daily, unusual phenomena in the atmosphere were recorded. Maybe, that all this was a reflection of the processes taking place in temporal-spatial continuum. Cap three accidentally ended up in the center of the anomaly that has spread it for 160 years back.
Apparently the captain could not endure this journey and died, however and for the better: he has a chance to survive in the middle of the 19th century in Kamchatka there were none. Unlucky captain III rank.
