A rather unusual announcement appeared in France: in a commune Plowbritan Britney offer a reward of two thousand euros for decoding of a medieval inscription on a mysterious stone, which found near the commune on the beach.
And although this happened a few years ago, for all this time local linguists and scientists could not decipher 20 lines, inscribed on a “stone sheet”. As the researchers determined, the inscription was made 230-250 years ago, but that’s who did it and what I wanted to tell the descendants, so far I have not managed to find out.
On the stone you can distinguish two numbers – 1786 and 1787, some Latin letters, although sometimes they are for some reason inverted. There are also symbols very similar to the runes of Scandinavia, as well as the image ship with sails. But what does all this mean?

Local scholars are inclined to believe that the inscription on the stone is made or in the ancient Breton language or even in the Basque dialect, quite perhaps it was written by just a semi-literate person.
On the other hand, this unsolved mystery is already so annoying researchers (and the inhabitants of the commune too) that they ready to resort to the help of anyone who can decipher this abracadabra. According to reporters, the price of decryption may well grow if outside help is not so fast and the effective management is now hoping for Plowers.
