The number of victims of avian influenza H7N9, first detected in person in late March, increased in China to 21 – died yet one resident of Shanghai, the state committee said on Monday Health and Birth Planning PRC. Earlier 20 victims of the H7N9 virus were reported, of which 11 died in Shanghai, five in Zhejiang, three in the province Jiangsu and another in Anhui Province. The State Committee also reported in Monday about two new cases of human infection with this virus – two more fell ill in Zhejiang. Thus, as At 4:00 p.m. (12:00 Moscow time) Monday, 104 cases were detected in China: 33 people in Shanghai, 24 in the province of Jiangsu, 40 in the province Zhejiang, three in Anhui, three in Henan and one – in Pekin. 70 people were hospitalized, 13 people recovered and discharged from hospitals. Chinese experts point out that cases H7N9 virus transmission from person to person has not yet registered. There is also no epidemiological link between all cases of disease. There are no messages and cases mass disease of H7N9 flu poultry. Specialists assure that the dangerous virus dies during heat treatment, and urge the population not to panic, avoid contact with live poultry, more carefully prepare poultry meat products.
