The video below is absolutely real. She was received in the summer of 2011 by a resident of Chukotka in one of the local rivers.

When the video shot by the Russian hit the World Wide Web, he became a real sensation, flying around a huge multitude domestic and foreign sites. The fact is that these frames demonstrate the silhouette of a creature suspiciously like an elephant calf. The animal slowly crosses the watercourse to move from one shores on the other.

Of course, elephants are not found in Chukotka, and therefore many World Wide Web users thought it was about the present baby mammoth. Woolly mammoths are known to have dominated in Siberia about 400 thousand years ago, but for some reason they haunt Russians still, because no, no, yes there is information about the reality of the existence of these extinct animals today. And suddenly another sensation of this kind!

A lot of cryptozoologists and researchers of unusual phenomena recalled after watching this video the theory that the ancient proboscis mammals are still alive in the most remote corners of our country. This assumption turned out to be very popular, and soon it was already began to pass off as absolute truth. “A mammoth was shot in Siberia”, “A mammoth calf was discovered in Chukotka,” the headlines dazzled global online press.

However, particularly attentive Internet users quickly found the sensational video extremely simple and believable explanation.

If you look closely at the video, you can see that on it captures not the representative of the elephant family, but the most ordinary brown bear with large fish in its teeth. Predator prey obviously was still alive and struggling, reminding from afar a moving trunk mammoth. Once you recognize a bear with fish on this record, you you can hardly see anything else on it.

Thus, we have a great example of fake news, however, the misinformation seemed to be random, with no intention fool the reader. Therefore, not every fake is a deliberate lie, but often – just a deception of sight, hearing, smell, touch. And any fake proves only one thing: our senses are far from perfect, and therefore it is not worth relying on them one hundred percent.
