In Cumbria – a county in the north-west of England – there is a small nameless forest, which until recently was nothing special stood out. However, if you go there now, you will, probably affected by forest flora and fauna. Locals organized the project “Woollen Woods”, whose name English translates as “Woolen Forest”. Just imagine a place where knitted mushrooms and flowers “grow” on the ground, and on hand-sewn birds sit on tree branches. According to the authors project, their unusual activity is aimed at attracting people’s attention to the amazing art of knitting.
