In May 2001, in one of the small mines of the Brazilian state Bahia found a record emerald at a depth of 200 meters.
The weight of this piece of beryllium mineral was 272 kilograms (according to other sources, 360 kilograms), and the length exceeded 1.3 meters (or 2 meters).
