Residents of the village of Nyda on the Yamal Peninsula in Western Siberia faced with a mysterious natural phenomenon. On the shore of the bay Gulf of Ob formed a huge number of large balls from dense snow. Ice blocks have a diameter of thirty to fifty centimeters. Some locals suggest that the cause of the anomaly lies in heavy snowfall, behind which followed by a thaw and an unexpected storm.

It is believed that during a recent snowfall a lot of rainfall, and formed along the coast of the bay shapeless snow blocks. Then it got warmer and they melted. IN at the same time the surf began, and the cold waves began to run in ice masses, turning them into perfect shapes balls of different sizes.
