A cat, unlike a dog, is considered very independent of human pet. Where did such conviction come from? no one knows, although all cat lovers without exception claim that this is far from the case.
Nevertheless, so many fairy tales have been written about this, filmed many cartoons telling about the independence of cats. More Moreover, ufologists even christened these amazingly plastic creatures, possessing many fantastic and in some ways even mystical abilities, aliens or animals once brought into Land by aliens. No wonder they were even worshiped in ancient times, for example, Egyptians, where the image of a cat was closely associated with such concepts like love, kindness, motherhood and even protection from all adversity and misfortune.

Not so long ago, American scientists at State University Oregon decided to approach this issue scientifically, thanks to which they very easily and quickly debunked the myth of independence domestic cats. In their experiments, they chose four categories the preferences of these pets: food, toys, smells and … human. So it turned out that it was a person who stands on the first place on this list, and only then food.
Note by the way that John Bradshaw, a world-famous zoologist, has been studying this issue for a long time. So he believes that the cat perceives a person as something between a surrogate mother and a caring adult cat, and the cat is pretty dumb, kind and very vulnerable. That’s probably why domestic cats do their best to the owners, trying to help them: normalize their energy and treat and cheer up the most, soothe and even protect people from subtle essences of parallel worlds.
