Off the coast of Hokkaido, Japan’s second largest island, the local fisherman managed to extract a terrible-looking creature from the water. Japanese posted on social network “Twitter” a picture in which he, as it seems, with great effort holds a huge fish in his arms. An unusual catch looks like a monster from some kind of fiction or horror movie.
Japanese scientists familiarized with the picture put forward the assumption that the photo captures an abnormally large catfish – a fish from the family of radiant fish belonging to squad perched. If this is true, then this catfish can be called a record great representative of its kind. Ordinary catfish reach only one hundred and ten centimeters in length, and such a weight fish rarely exceed fourteen kilograms.
