In the early fifties in the UK, and a little later in US, complaints to the police about the shots started to appear en masse car windows. Investigations into these facts forced the police turn to scientists because law enforcement officers at the crime scene could not detect any soot, nor microparticles of gunpowder, nor, most importantly, the bullet itself. And another mystery: in some cases the alleged shots were fired, it’s not clear where, as if a sniper could fly in the air, shoot from rocks, from under the ground and other incredible points in space.
On separate tracks, where the most often happened incidents, the police even installed round-the-clock duty. But it didn’t help: holes in the windows of cars appeared as if from nowhere, neither sniper, nor traces (except, of course, the hole itself in glass) could not be detected. And then they began to come information that the mysterious sniper makes holes just as easily and in metal (car body), in glass windows and so on.
Sniper hits people
If in the fifties a mysterious sniper did mostly holes in the glass, then in history there are cases when elusive bullets suffered and people. Today, scientists, having studied the materials of hundreds of those strange things, recorded in almost all parts of the world, made the most reasonable assumption: the sniper, as such, does not existed.
