Record cold in US and Canada freezes Niagara Falls. According to the Daily Mail, frosts were so strong that literally “stopped” the streams of water that managed to freeze before they touched the bottom. According to publications, the waterfall is not completely frozen, jets still beat in the ice water. However, frozen Niagara Falls is extremely a rare thing. So, according to historical data, water is here froze only 2 times: in 1848 and 1912. Meanwhile, according to publications, colds in the USA and Canada should come to naught by the second half a week, after which the thaw begins.
