The results of a new study proved that a passionate kiss, lasting ten seconds, can transfer more than 80 million to a partner bacteria. The study also found that in couples, who kiss at least nine times a day are identical groups of microbes. More than 100 trillion live in the body of one person microorganisms. These bacteria help people digest food, synthesize nutrients in the intestines as well prevent various diseases. However living in our organisms “beneficial” bacteria are in acceptable for them microclimate, and kisses violate their natural habitat. Scientists decided to find out how dangerous it is for our health. Experts conducted an experiment in which 21 pairs were involved young people living together. These pairs were tested before and after kisses. As a result of the experiment, it turned out that people who often kiss, in their organisms have similar groups bacteria. In addition, in the oral cavity of people of these bacteria turned out to be much more than in the saliva of partners. Language is quite acceptable environment for comfortable living microflora, therefore bacteria prefer this particular organ for their colonization, study co-authors say. Unlike the tongue, saliva is more dynamic environment, so new bacteria that have fallen into the body in saliva is much harder to take root. To confirm this version, scientists conducted another test: one of the members of each couples drank liquid yogurt, which contained bifidobacteria, which settle in the oral cavity of a person. After 10 seconds an intimate kiss, researchers took bacteria samples from the mouth partner who did not drink kefir. As a result of this experiment scientists found that the level of bifidobacteria in the oral cavity is not a person taking yogurt has tripled! That is, total in ten seconds, a person increased the number of their own bacteria approximately 80 million. However, the co-author of the study, Professor of Microbial Genomics, believes that scaring yourself is not worth it. “Although during the kiss we expose ourselves to many bacteria, but only a small fraction of them is capable of colonize the human body, “assured the professor. Based on the conclusion suggests itself – passionate kisses bring the human body is more beneficial than harm. Settling in bacteria, as a rule, die quickly, and the pleasure of a kiss enhances and strengthens the overall immunity organism. Kiss for health!
