The surviving members of the expedition plunged the bodies of their comrades on all-terrain vehicle and set off on the return trip. Skobelev died on the road. According to the conclusion of the doctors, Gorodetsky, Kustov and Borisov died from severe electric shock, Skobelev – from heart failure.
In 1962, an American went to the South Magnetic Pole expedition of 17 people. Returned without loss, but all immediately sent to the mainland, where the Americans were treated for a long time in psycho-neurological clinics. Officially, the Americans said that the expedition went without any extraordinary events. The truth no one should have known.
How the secret became clear
