German scientists have found that rats, like humans, do not away to play group games, getting from the whole process pleasure. He writes the publication Science.

Researchers undertook to teach hide and seek six rodents of age from 5 to 23 weeks. For motivation, they were provided with treats, but when rodents stopped giving them, those, as if nothing had happened, with enthusiasm continued the game. While rats were playing, scientists led observation of their brain activity.

In two weeks, rodents fully understood the rules of the game, therefore they were already hiding in a new place and could quickly find people.

Scientists at Indiana University (USA) previously proved that these animal nervous activity is very similar to human. They are, for example, they are able to remember events, and in the same order as they were happening.

During the study, 13 rats were trained to memorize various smells. Research results have proven that these rodents possess episodic memory, that is, they can remember events and their chronology.

Earlier ESOREITER talked about the incredible abilities of rats.
