It would seem that fog is the most common atmospheric phenomenon. However, a white veil that cuts off the traveler from time to time and space and absorbs all sounds, gives rise to mystical horror and becomes the subject of many horror stories. Moreover, the mysterious and even truly terrible mists on our planet a lot.
Mist of La Mussara
One of the most mysterious places in Spain is La Mussara. Until today, it is unclear why the inhabitants left this village. (La Mussara officially ceased to exist in January 1960 of the year). Members of various mystical sects who commit here pilgrimages, consider this place to be depopulated due to mysterious properties of local mists.
They say that with a particularly thick fog in the evenings it was possible watch a stunning picture: from a floating gray haze arose procession of monks dressed in long cassocks. Lost in time
Some of the people who fell into the terrible fog of La Mussara were lost in time. For example, a man stayed in the fog for three hours, friends searched for him ten hours. It happens and vice versa: someone for a few minutes disappears for his companions and then tells how he climbed out of the fog for several hours.
And here is a domestic example, so to speak. Voices ravine located on the outskirts of our capital. In the Moscow archives by historians a document was found showing that at the very gates the royal palace from a greenish dense fog appeared small detachment of the Tatars. And later Golosov ravine more than once became a place the mysterious disappearance of residents of nearby villages. So in the archive of the police department of the Moscow province has documents according to which two peasants, Ivan Bochkarev and Arkhip Kuzmin, which disappeared in 1810, suddenly appeared after 21 year.
They told how they returned from a neighboring village and took a chance pass the road by going through a ravine, although they knew about the poor glory of this places. At the bottom of the Golosov ravine thick fog swirled and suddenly a lighted corridor appeared.
Walking along it, the peasants met unusual, overgrown with wool people who signs explained to men that they found themselves in another world and returning from it will be difficult, but they will help people. Again a dense fog fell, the peasants continued on their way. Returning to their village, they found there aged wives, and also children who were barely recognized.
Wandering Mists
