In the Paris Zoo was put on public display a rather strange exhibit – a unicellular creature of the group Mucus. Outwardly, it resembles a mushroom, but behaves like an animal. Reported by the Guardian.
The presented individual was named blob, in honor of the famous film the horrors of 1958 in which alien mucus attacked a small american city. And although this living substance does not have a brain, stomach and eyes, she can easily find food and digest it.
Scientists have discovered 720 floors in this organism, and if it cut into two, then in a couple of minutes it will recover.
Researchers placed the creature in the maze from which it easily found a way out. It also turned out that without a brain it is capable of to learning and even transfer your knowledge to your own kind.
