Latin chronicle of the 9th century lifted the veil of secrecy over the existence of the legendary king Arthur.
While the stories of the king’s incredible adventures Arthur and the Knights of the round table are broadcast on television shows, movies and literature, historians continue to lead various discussions about the existence of this hero. It is connected with many real events that are proven by history. But, to Unfortunately, historical studies support the idea that this character is a fiction that never existed in real life. At least that has been so until now.
However, the Spanish doctor and philologist Andrew Breeze from University of Navarra made a sensational statement relying on the text of the famous ancient chronicle “History of the Britons”, which was written by the monk Nennius in Latin as early as the 9th century. Book Describes in detail nine geographic locations visited real king Arthur and spent more than a dozen successful battles. Is worth note that none of the other manuscripts and annals described with such accuracy the battlefield of the king.
The breeze is sure that the information received is simply amazing – given the latest data, in real life king arthur was a Breton who lived in southern Scotland and never fought with the British. More often than not, the hero fought with others, the peoples of Scotland near Edinburgh and Carlisle.
As the historian claims, Arthur was most likely not a glorious king, but simply a successful military leader who became famous for his courage and valor in battles.
