Scientists from Texas Tech University blamed The Internet is that more people these days are starting to believe in flat earth. In particular, experts are unhappy with the popular YouTube video service, which offers its users hundreds of thousands of videos proving that our planet has supposedly disc shape, not ball.

Many people, according to the authors of the study, become adepts flat earth theories just after they decide to spend an hour or two to watch conspiratorial videos. They say at first, a person wants to get acquainted with alternative views on events such as the September 11, 2001 attacks or flights Americans to the moon. Then “YouTube” invited the viewer to watch materials devoted to the hypothesis of a disk-shaped Earth.

Many of the respondents admit that they began to watch such videos for the sole purpose of making fun of them, but in the end the authors of the videos managed to convince to one degree or another skeptical viewer in his innocence. And in this, as reported Americans, there is nothing surprising. Many believe that the strong of this world are constantly deceiving us and hiding from humanity the truth, therefore, such individuals easily admit that politicians and scientists even lie to us about the shape of the planet. Especially since some videos are really talented and convincingly prove this, in general, bullshit mares.

It is noteworthy that the owners of “YouTube” and have thought recently about stop recommending videos to your visitors about flat Earth, the danger of vaccination, the fiction of change climate and other “harmful” conspiracy theories. Many users were critical of the planned innovation, regarding this step as an attempt to deal with alternative points view, other than generally accepted. Typically, such bans never reached their goal, rather, on the contrary, they warmed up interest in the forbidden “fruit.” It’s useless even from that point view that there are a lot of video hosting on the Internet today, and some of them are happy to be “pushed” to YouTube with at least this niches. And in terms of the distribution of all kinds of conspiracy and pseudo-scientific theories will not change anything …
