After reading this heading, you might think that we are talking about children’s game in which the boy can act as a groom, and in the role of the bride – well, anyone, even a homeless cur caught the children’s arm.
However, in this case, everything happened in all seriousness, a seven-year-old Indian boy Mukesh Kepayi from the village of Manik Baza actually married on a stray dog. The fact is that residents this village, located in East India, is very superstitious, and fortune-tellers predicted Mukesh that his first wife would die very early. To avoid future family tragedy, adults decided first to marry a boy in a mongrel picked up on the street – let her will take on the fate of the first wife of Mukesh.

Ashok Kumap Leyyangi’s grandfather told reporters those present at this strange wedding ceremony that similar marriage is a common practice among the population of such Indian villages, like Manik Baza. People here not only believe in such signs, but also in practice make sure that they work. Moreover, in the village such beliefs and life experiences are passed down from generation to generation generation, but because it is possible that Mukesh himself will also be in the future arrange “game” weddings in order to save from bad predictions their children and grandchildren.
