The Department of Emergency Situations requested an urgent presence technical staff of the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain branches of Murcia, units of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness to identify the causes of huge cracks in the earth that appeared after recent heavy rains at the Saladar Industrial Park in Totana (GoogleMap).

The crack extends to the site of the industrial park in direction of the Sports City “Valverde Reina” (Ciudad Deportiva “Valverde Reina”) and has a length of over 300 square meters, and the depth in some places reaches more than two meters, according to sources of the Civil Defense. Same sources indicate that the crack appeared two days ago and in recent days expanded from 40 to 50 cm in some places.
