Among the New Harlean marshes in America there is an island that used to be popular with wild honey lovers. Now there were no more bees there, and the locals lost interest in islet. However, one unusual inhabitant of this corner and today haunts enthusiasts …
In 1963 airliner Harlan Ford flew past Honey Island and saw the abandoned camp below. Being a true seeker adventure, he went with his friend Billy Mills to explore this area. Gun-armed men without labor got to the camp and began to study it, when they suddenly saw strange creature. Subsequently, Ford described it as follows: the creature grew at least seven feet (more than 2 meters), it had a strong physique and was covered with dark gray hair. The eyes of the amazing creature – huge, amber – evoked sensation of goosebumps.
No wonder that no one tells the stories of friends after they return home did not believe. You never know what two peasants who don’t off to skip a glass or two.
Another meeting with a swamp monster
… More than ten years have passed. In 1974 Ford and Mills hunted Honey Island and stumbled upon a recently killed wild boar. That’s just it wasn’t killed by a man or even habitual for experienced hunters predator. The animal’s throat was torn, blood pulsed from it. Nearby were strange footprints that clearly belonged to a “wild boar hunter”, and the men made their casts. However, they did not believe them this time, they accused them of forgery, and the traces were considered traces of an alligator. Offended Harlan Ford just got sick looking for a swamp monster.

He sent the prints for examination to the Wildlife Committee staff. nature of Louisiana. Those confirmed that the tracks do not belong to the alligator. A creature leaving such traces has membranes to live in water, and at the same time a protruding finger, to climb trees conveniently. It turned out that the swamp monster could swim freely like, say, a seal, and at the same time as monkey jumping in the trees.
Other Swamp Monster Testimonies

He claimed that he had seen a swamp many times a monster and, moreover, talked about a whole population of these creatures. The hunter could even kill them, but he saw no reason, because strange creatures were not going to harm him. If Ted noticed them bathing in the river, they immediately got out of the water and disappeared among swamp thickets. Once, when Ted was fishing, one of those swamp inhabitants crossed the river in his direction, but went on the shore is a little away and passed him …
