European biologists have concluded that all domestic dogs do not only perfectly understand the intonation of a person’s voice, intuitively feel his mood, but also sensitively react to expression faces.
So, researchers at the Vienna University of Veterinary Medicine recently conducted an interesting experiment in which animals it was proposed to remember the facial expression of a person and depending on their ability to receive or not to receive refreshments.
Scientists offered dogs two pictures of the same person – with a good and evil face. Depending on the assignment, the animal had to choose the right facial expression, after which got delicious dog food.
The number of correct answers reached eighty percent, which is quite proves: the dog is well versed in human emotions, which are written on his face (because in the experiment were not other identification bodies are involved, say, instinct, intuition). Scientists were somewhat surprised only that in the case when an evil face was involved, there were fewer correct answers. Apparently, animals are intuitively drawn to a good person.
Scientists have not yet determined whether this property of the dog is innate this is inherent only to pets who, living side by side with man, learned to visually read and understand emotions, reflected on his face. The experiments are ongoing …
