Probably each of us remembers from books read and watched movies that even the enemies tried to fulfill man’s last wish before his death, for example, was given to him drink and smoke before you shoot or hang. It turns out that this idea can be used in charity purposes.
This is exactly what the Dutch nurse Ineke Veldbour and her Kis’s husband is an ambulance driver. Once they came to this head is a simple (and therefore brilliant) thought, and why not organize a charity that will to fulfill the last, most secret desires of people before death? So the company “Stichting Ambulance Wens Nederland” appeared, whose main task was the execution of the latter, and therefore the most touching wishes of people.
Today their charitable organization SAWN has already turned eight years. During this time, the company has significantly strengthened, in its ranks more than two hundred volunteers joined, the four Veldbourers now have your boarding house with several ambulances. Also on their account is constantly receiving substantial amounts of money – voluntary donations from citizens of Holland and even other countries, which allows them to carry out their plan, and at the highest professional level. Over the years, the company has performed almost eight thousand all kinds of wishes of the dying.
According to Ineke, people on the verge of death, for the most part parts are the simplest desires. Therefore, the day company “Stichting Ambulance Wens Nederland manages to serve three to four customers. To work with dying in this vein, a woman admits, very interesting, good for the soul and even nice. In the end you begin to understand that people are not afraid of death, they just want leave this world with the best memories of him. By this reason, and the performers of these simple desires themselves become lighter and wiser.
