Famous car manufacturers have to go to the most sophisticated tricks to promote your products. For example, Japanese corporation Toyota is faced with the need effectively advertise your new Lexus compact crossover NX “and, I must say, came up with a very interesting solution.
Over the past four months, Japanese designers and engineers, with the support of ice sculptors, made car wheels exclusively from frozen water.
As a result, the “ice tires” were not only ideal with visual point of view, but also absolutely functional – they quietly support the weight of the car, without collapsing and crumbling. Such wheels can exist only at subzero temperatures, therefore, the authors of the project for five days kept a premium car in freezer at a temperature of minus thirty degrees Celsius. Cars managed to become covered with a thick layer of ice, which the Japanese had to be cleaned before filming the video below. Of course, the practicality of such products is out of the question: they provide almost no traction to the machine, and, in addition, collapse on the average road when meeting the first bump. Nobody is going to release such wheels, however The marketing ploy was impressive.
“Lexus NX” with ice wheels already drove a few dozen meters in London at night, however, almost the smoothest stretch of road in the English capital. In the car wheel built in blue LED bulbs to vehicle It looked even more modern and attractive. Unfortunately, the weather in London was not the coldest that night (only minus two degrees Celsius), and quickly began to drip from the “magic” wheels water. However, the Japanese managed to remove their ads, especially not attracting the attention of ordinary people to this miracle of technology.
