The commissioner reported that he received information as if some Turkish peasant found and buried a large number of bodies dead english soldiers. The peasant was found. Yes he really found about 200 bodies. They were all literally broken, as if fell from a great height. Having no physical ability to bury such a huge number of corpses, the peasant threw them into the nearest ravine.
They found the corpses. There were 185 of them. 122 of them in epaulettes and cockades were uniquely identified as belonging to the soldiers Norfolk Regiment. The bodies were really so crippled that only two could identify. Quite expectedly, a version arose, that the British were captured, mutilated and killed by the Turkish soldiers, and Turkey did not want to admit the fact of brutal destruction prisoners of war and tried to hide everything. It fit the place the detection of corpses – behind the line of contact behind Turkish lines troops.
Only one nuance spoiled the whole picture: none of the English soldiers who were that day in an area of height 60, no fighting for height not observed. But they saw something else, very weird.
Strange clouds
August 12, directly above the height of 60 hung 6-8 dense clouds, ideally round shape. Despite the wind, the clouds did not move and their forms did not change. Another cloud measuring 800×200 feet and 200 in height sank to the ground and covered the bottom of a dry river. You can put an end to this. But if once upon Gallipoli Peninsula from the fog that has not come from British soldiers in the form of the Norfolk regiment, point will have to be replaced by an exclamation mark.
