It always seems to us that all the amazing puzzles have a thousand year history. This is a common misconception. The secrets over which experts puzzle are left to us by our contemporaries.
Conscientious tenant
In 1950, to Meyer Wertlieb, the owner of a brick garage in a suburb of Washington asked someone James Hampton to rent him a garage. Wertlieb surprised that the future tenant came on foot. When asked why a person who does not have a car, the garage, Hampton replied that he needed a room in which he will finally be able to “complete his project.” Vertlib is the explanation satisfied, quickly negotiated a price.
For 14 years, Meyer Wertlieb did not look into his garage. All these years, Hampton has contributed the required amount every month, not once. without delaying the payment. In 1964, Meyer did not first receive rent and very surprised. He tried to contact Hampton to find out the cause of the delay and found out the sad news: the tenant of his garage has died.
Wertlieb upset for the first time in 14 years opened the doors of his garage and crossed the threshold. What he saw stunned him. In the middle of the dusty room, shining with gold, stood a magnificent throne in surrounded by hundreds of the same shiny objects.
Invisible cleaner
James Hampton was born in 1909 in Southern California in a family black farmers. Took part in the second world war demobilized in 1945. I got a job in the Office of General US services as a janitor, where he worked until his death. In Office he was remembered as a quiet gentle believer, forever immersed in himself, having no family, no children.
After finishing his work at about midnight, he left to the next day reappear. And so for 20 years. Nobody and didn’t know that in a distant garage Hampton was building a composition called them the Throne of the Third Heaven of the Millennium General Assembly. ”

Throne
The composition consists of 180 objects, the main of which is throne. Alas, to the chagrin of Wertlieb, the throne was not golden. Looking closely, he saw that all this magnificence was made literally out of the trash. The materials were old cans, vacuum lamps, corrugated cardboard, pipe cuts, fragments of mirrors, connected by nails, glue, duct tape. Glittered with gold foil.
Fortunately, the story hit the newspapers, which saved Wertlieb from headache where to put this beauty. The throne was transferred to Smithsonian National Museum of American Art (Washington). Hampton’s throne today is considered a model of naive art and numerous museum visitors are amazed at what God’s a spark illuminated the mind of Hampton, who created out of nothing masterpiece.
The Secret of the Throne and Hampton’s Encrypted Notes
In addition to the Throne, a manuscript known as Hampton Diaries. 104 pages filled with obscure characters, unencrypted so far. Maybe it’s just scribbles crazy cleaner? No, analysis shows that records obey the laws of linguistics and in no case are meaningless character set.

Relatives recalled that James had visited visions since the age of 22. What paintings were revealed to him? What secrets did he want and at the same time was afraid to tell humanity? On the elements of the Throne, researchers they find many strange inscriptions: “There is no fear,” “Revelation”, “Where there is no vision, people perish,” etc.
Perhaps between the Throne and the notes there is a certain connection in elements of the composition hidden keys to an encrypted diary? A maybe everything is much simpler, and we are dealing with the case of the next insanity? It is not without reason that it is said that all artists and poets a little crazy.
