The Salt River in Ukraine suddenly turned into blood red color

About a month ago, the Salt River, flowing along the Donbass, suddenly turned a blood red color. In this case, fish and other the inhabitants of the river died. This environmental anomaly caused a panic citizens, especially on the eve of the spring thaw, because if you died fish, meaning the evaporation from the river can be poisonous. There are no official versions of what happened, but locals tend to blame nearby mines in the metamorphosis of the river. City authorities try to calm the worried inhabitants, assuring them that the water intake for the needs of citizens from a polluted river is not made, therefore, there is no threat to human health. Currently a special commission has been created that tries to find out the true causes of river pollution, and indicate the real extent disaster. Two years ago, a similar situation was observed in Lugansk region. Then the river Miusik became red. As a result analyzes carried out revealed that the manganese content in the river water several times exceeded the norm, indicators for iron were exceeded by 44 times. Then the cause of pollution was called seepage of mine water into the river.

It is no secret that Dneprodzerzhinsk, Makeevka, Gorlovka occupy leading places in the ranking of the dirtiest cities in Ukraine. Air and water in industrial regions is polluted by heavy metals, hydrogen fluoride, phenol, nitrogen dioxide, benzapyrene and many other health hazards connections.
