It will be more accurate to say – it’s worth it, or else it’s “floating out”, since during low tide at the mouth of the French river Laura on the shore the skeleton of this huge prehistoric snake or even the legendary dragon, which is so revered, for example, in China.
For tourists who are not aware that this is just a sculpture, the appearance of this monster from the water, even in the form of only a skeleton, makes a huge, almost shocking impression. It is on this and counted French artist of Chinese descent Huang Yong Ping, who created a truly great miracle of sculptural creativity, which has become the hallmark of this region and attracting many tourists here.

The skeleton of a Chinese dragon on the banks of Laura appeared in 2012, although Huang Yong Ping set about creating his unique works of art a few years before. Create one a large and unusual sculpture was not easy even with modern technical capabilities. Especially since the artist there was no place to take an animal sample, since dragons in our the world does not exist. For this reason, the vertebral part is resourceful the sculptor copied from an ordinary snake, but as a model of the head and in particular the mouth of a sea monster served as an ordinary skull dogs.
The skeleton (more precisely – the skeleton) of the world’s greatest snake “hid” in that place of Laura, where she flows into the Bay of Biscay near the city Nantes. The place was not chosen by chance, as we already mentioned, the calculation was so that the dragon doesn’t just “lie” on the shore, but rather appears from water, which happens at low tide. Unique length skeleton is almost 130 meters. This work created by Huang Yong Ping as part of the contemporary street art festival “Estuaire”.
